FORMA Festival
event identity
Exhibitions at Warsaw stations, shop window designs, performative reading of the script for the train show, Train and book - Polish artists will create works inspired by the master Wojciech Zamecznik. FORMA is an art festival in the urban space of Warsaw - from 11 to 29 December 2015. Contemporary artists involved in photography, video, design and theater have been invited to participate in the festival. All presented works are premieres - they were created especially for the festival and their common point is the work of Wojciech Zamecznik.
He was a graphic designer, poster and exhibition designer, photographer. One of the most versatile Polish artists. He belonged to the most outstanding representatives of the Polish poster school. He created only 20 years and exhibited his works all over the world.
The festival design created to promote the work of Wojciech Zamecznik uses certain forms and letters similar to the artist's work, however, our goal was not to pay tribute to past times but to try to build a modern visual language based on these forms, also involving the younger part of the audience. The screen-printed like colors set and the captivating pictures of Zamecznik turned out not to fight with each other but emphasize their qualities creating a strong, vivid identification. An additional trick was to print posters as modules so that allowed us to present b1 and 140x200cm formats.
